US History and Civics Classes: Today, as a reward for good work in class, we will be watching the film The Patriot staring Mel Gibson. This film gives a portrayal of life before and during the American Revolution. Though it has some historical inaccuracies, as we will discuss, it helps to give us an idea of colonial life during the Revolutionary War.
